Awbari Governorate or Ubari Governorate〔United States Department of State (1970) ''U.S. Department of State fact book of the countries of the world'' Crown Publishing, New York, page 404, 〕 (アラビア語:أوباري محافظة) was one of the governorates (muhafazah) of Libya from 1963 to 1973.〔Metz, Helen Chapin (editor) (1988) ''Libya: a country study'' (Area handbook series) Federal Research Division, Library of Congress, Washington, D.C., pages 185, 190, ; available electronically (here )〕 Its capital was the town of Ubari. It was created out of the southwestern part of Fezzan. In 1973 the Awbari Governorate was merged into an altered Sabha Governorate.
